Veth Propulsion is famous due to her innovative solutions. Successful market launches such as the Veth-Jet and the Veth Z-drive were developed in house, and more recently the Veth Hybrid Drive, Veth Compact Grid and Veth Elbow Thruster.
In order to further improve and innovate our product range, profound Research and Development is performed. This holds for both our mechanical and electrical system parts. Nowadays thrusters are developed by using modern tools as; design, simulation and calculation software. Veth Propulsion combines internal experience with external knowledge in order to design the optimal result for our customers.
We use Finite Element Analyses (FEA) to check the load capacity and stiffness of crucial construction parts. Moreover, in order to optimize the efficiency of our bow thrusters Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) calculations are preformed to analyze the flow patterns.
Next to the mechanical part also the soft- and hardware of the thruster control system are constantly developed. This is done based on system analysis and a structured approach.
So, modern tools are used to speed up our development process. However, in some investigations experimental studies are still necessary. With our own test boat and facilities we are able to examine our developments in real life.
